IntelliTEAM II® Automatic Restoration System
IntelliTEAM II® Demonstration
Use the link at right to see IntelliTEAM II in action. The IntelliTEAM II Online Demontration is an interactive re-enactment of IntelliTEAM II derived from real fault scenarios run on the S&C IntelliTEAM II Test System, using actual automatic switch controls and communication devices. It shows the power of IntelliTEAM II.
The distribution system used in the demo is comprised of four circuits: A, B, C and D, each of which is fed from a separate substation. The circuits could alternately be fed from different bus sections of the same substation, or another utility source. Each circuit is divided into a number of teams, in a variety of configurations. All of the switches in the demo are overhead, but underground switching equipment can also be used.
The user can select a fault scenario and observe each step of the reconfiguration process. Four scenarios are available:
- Scenario 1 - Loss of Source
- Scenario 2 - Faulted Circuit
- Scenario 3 - Faulted End Load
- Scenario 4 - Multiple Faults
Circuit loading conditions have been simplified to make the math easy if you’d like to check switch loading at each step of the way.
IntelliTEAM II can be configured to return to normal either in open or closed transition. The demo uses closed transition.
The demo uses the following symbols:

Open / Green — open switch.

Red / Closed — closed switch.

Black Line — de-energized circuit segment.

Colored Line — energized circuit segment. Circuit segments will change color to match the substation from which they are being fed.

Lightning Bolt — a fault applied to the system. The symbol will change in intensity depending on the fault status, but will remain visible throughout the demo to show the fault location.

Switch Label — the identification number of a switch.

Teams — each team is identified by a “Team _” callout. Teams can and do overlap.

Event Time — duration of the event.

Elapsed Time — total time the system runs from the inception of the scenario.
