S&C Introduces Cutout-Arrester Combinations.

S&C is pleased to announce an exciting new option for Type XS Fuse Cutouts — polymer-housed metal-oxide Joslyn Zforce™ surge arresters. With this offering, S&C will now be able to satisfy those customers who choose to purchase preassembled cutout-arrester combinations, instead of having to purchase each component separately.

The cutout-arrester combination offering will include both 9-kV and 10-kV arresters for use with Type XS Fuse Cutouts rated 14.4 kV nominal, and 18-kV arresters for use with Type XS Fuse Cutouts rated 25 kV nominal. For each arrester voltage rating, Joslyn Zforce arresters will be offered in three styles; Normal Duty (ZNP), Heavy Duty (ZHP), and Riser-Pole (ZJP). All arresters feature integral ground-lead disconnects (GLD) and an insulated mounting bracket. Cutout-arrester combinations include a copper strap between the arrester and the top contact of the cutout mounting. They’re completely assembled on the mounting bracket to facilitate easy and quick installation.
