Brad Roberts Receives John Mungenast International Power Quality Award.

S&C Electric Company is proud to announce the John Mungenast International Power Quality Award has been presented to Brad Roberts, Power Quality Systems Director for S&C’s Power Quality Products Division.

Brad has over 35 years experience in the design and operation of critical power systems, ranging from single phase UPS systems to medium voltage applications. He began his engineering work as a systems reliability engineer in the Apollo Lunar Module Program at Cape Kennedy. He held senior management positions in two of the major UPS manufacturers during his career, and has been instrumental in developing S&C’s PureWave line of medium-voltage products. Brad is a member of IEEE and has published over 30 technical papers and journal articles on critical power system design.

Brad is a registered professional engineer and has a BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering) degree from the University of Florida. He is Chairman of the IEEE Power Engineering Society’s Emerging Technologies Coordinating Committee and a member of the Board of Directors for the Electricity Storage Association.

The award is given “for extraordinary contributions to the power quality field,” and was presented by Mr. John Dedad, Editorial Director, of EC&M magazine at the Power Quality Conference held in Chicago on November 16, 2004.
