Announcing Two New Modules for PMX™ Switchgear.

S&C’s successful PMX™ Modular Metal-Enclosed Switchgear, rated 13.8 and 25 kV, is offered in a wide variety of modules which can be combined to handle nearly any distribution system need. To date, the offerings have included:

Remote-Supervisory,” “Source-Transfer,” “Interrupter Switch,” and “Interrupter Switch with Fuses” entrance modules;
Interrupter Switch” and “Interrupter Switch with Fuses” feeder modules;
Bus-Tie Switch” and “Cable Entrance” auxiliary modules; and
Through Bus” and “Bus Tap” metering modules.

Now, S&C is pleased to announce two new offerings for PMX gear: a “Duplex” entrance module and a “Transformer Throat” auxiliary module.

Duplex Entrance Module

The Duplex entrance module includes two manual Mini-Rupter® Switches, as shown in this single-line diagram. It’s available in both left-end and right-end configurations.

Transformer Throat Auxiliary Module

The Transformer Throat auxiliary module allows PMX gear to be close-coupled to a transformer, as shown in this single-line diagram. In this particular application, the Transformer Throat auxiliary module is connected to an Interrupter Switch with Fuses entrance module. The Transformer Throat auxiliary module is available in both left-end and right-end configurations. Also note that complete connection details for the associated transformer must be furnished at the time of order entry.

The Duplex entrance module and the Transformer Throat auxiliary module are available for shipment starting July 2005.
